In the era of rapid development and fast changing world, no country can afford to lag behind in the development of its most important entity which undoubtedly is Human Resources. The basic requirement for development of any country is the availability of skilled work force and the same is relevant for the development of Health Sector as well. For capacity building and human resources development, the CBHI conducts In-Service training programmes for officials working in various Medical Record Departments (MRD) & health Institutions of the Central/State governments, Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESI), Defence, Railways and Private Health institutions through its various training centres. CBHI is mandated with task of Capacity Building & Operation Research for Efficient Health Information System (HIS) including International Classification of Diseases (ICD) & Family of International Classification (ICF) use in India and South East Asia Region (SEAR).

CBHI broadly conducts two types of trainings-

  1. Training Programmes for Maintenance of Medical Records.
  2. Training Courses for Implementation of ICD-10 and ICF

Details of the above two types of trainings are being provided below for perusal.

      1. Training Programmes for Maintenance of Medical Records.

CBHI, with the objective of strengthening and developing Human Resources and improving the Health Information System (HIS) in the country,  conducts following In-Service training programmes for maintenance  of Medical Records  in Medical Institutions.

      2. Training Courses for Implementation of ICD-10 and ICF

CBHI is mandated with task of Capacity Building & Operation Research for Efficient Health Information System (HIS) including International Classification of Diseases (ICD) & Family of International Classification (ICF) use in India and South East Asia Region (SEAR). CBHI also organizes sensitization workshops on ICD-10 & ICF in big Govt./Pvt. Hospitals. CBHI conducts National Level training course, Training of Trainees (TOT) for Master trainers on ICD-10 & ICF at RHSTC at Mohali, Chandigarh with the expectation that after getting training these Master Trainers (TOT) would further impart trainings on ICD-10/ICF at their respective work place.

CBHI, with the objective of implementing usages of ICD-10 & ICF in the country, conducts following In-Service training programmes-
